The Career Metamorphosis Framework: My 5-Phase Approach to Career Alignment

I spent years watching smart, capable, high-achieving women do everything right and still end up in my DMs at 11pm asking some version of the same question: “Why does my career feel like it belongs to someone else?

They weren’t feeling unfulfilled because they hadn't tried, but because everything they'd tried was starting in the wrong place.

Most career advice starts with what you want to do. The Career Metamorphosis Framework starts somewhere else entirely - with who you are.

Why conventional career coaching falls short

Here's what traditional career coaching is good at: resumes, LinkedIn profiles, interview prep, salary negotiation. And those things matter (in fact, I offer these services myself) - but they aren’t the key to professional satisfaction. When you lead with tactics before you've done the identity work, you end up optimizing a path that was never really yours to begin with.

What conventional coaching misses is the layer underneath the strategy - It misses the question of how you're actually designed to work, decide, and use your energy. This is different for everyone, and Human Design maps it with startling precision. Conventional coaching also misses the question of timing - when you're in a season built for building vs. a season built for releasing - & astrology addresses that in ways nothing else can. And traditional coaching misses the question of what you actually want - beneath the shoulds and the conditioning and the career plan you made at 22 that made sense to everyone… except the current version of you.

That's the gap. And that's what the Career Metamorphosis Framework was built to fill.

Introducing the Career Metamorphosis Framework

The Career Metamorphosis Framework is a proprietary 5-phase process that integrates Human Design, Astrology, and Tarot with tactical career strategy to help professionally dissatisfied women find and move toward work that actually aligns with who they are.

It's a complete arc that moves from the inside out: from soul-level self-knowledge, through clarity and strategy, into brave action, and finally into the kind of identity-level shift that makes the change stick. Each phase builds directly on the one before it. You can't skip to Phase 3 without Phase 1 having done its job - and if you've ever tried to force a career move that fell flat despite doing everything 'right,' there's a good chance you started at Phase 3 👀

Here's how it works:

Phase 1: Know Your Nature

We begin with your soul. Not in a vague, candles-and-crystals way — in a specific, diagnostic, this-explains-everything way. Using Human Design and Astrology, Phase 1 is where we uncover your natural gifts, your energy patterns, the way you're actually designed to make decisions, and the specific misalignments that are keeping you stuck.

Human Design is particularly illuminating here. Your energy type determines how you're built to work and engage with the world. When you're operating against your design (a Projector grinding like a Generator, for example, or a Manifestor waiting for permission she was never meant to need), the result isn't just frustration… It's depletion. It's the feeling that you're working twice as hard as everyone else for half the return. When we add your astrological chart into the picture - your Sun, your Midheaven, your Saturn placement, etc - what emerges isn't a horoscope, it's a map. You'll finally understand why your current path doesn't fit, and what would light you up instead.

Phase 1 is where clients stop thinking something is wrong with them and start understanding what's actually wrong with the fit.

Phase 2: Clarify Your Calling

Phase 1 only works because it clears the fog enough to see what's underneath it. Phase 2 is where clarity clicks in, and where we do the specific work of naming what you actually want, beyond the shoulds.

The 'shoulds' are worth naming explicitly, because they run the show for most of the women I work with.

  • The job title her parents approved of.

  • The industry that made sense on her resume.

  • The career plan she built around stability, or prestige, or someone else's definition of success.

Phase 2 is where we set all of that down and ask a different set of questions:

  • What direction aligns with your energy type?

  • What does your North Node say you're here to master?

  • What does a tarot pull surface when you stop overthinking and start listening?

The answers are always already inside you - Phase 2 just creates the conditions for them to come forward.

This is the phase where women stop chasing the right job title and start building toward the right life.

Phase 3: Map Your Move

Now we get practical. Where Phase 2 gave you the direction, Phase 3 builds the bridge. You'll create a personalized roadmap to move from where you are to where you want to be, without blowing up your life (unless you want to 😉).

This is where the tactical layer of the work comes in: the resume that positions you for the role you actually want, the LinkedIn profile that attracts the right people, the job search strategy that matches your Human Design type's approach to opportunity, the negotiation script that reflects your value. This is where my nearly 10 year career in HR & recruiting helps you most.

It's also where we work through the practical logistics of transition: the timeline, the finances, the risk tolerance, the backup plan. Phase 3 is the proof that the soul work in Phases 1 and 2 wasn't abstract - It was preparation. You don't just have a dream at the end of Phase 3. You have a plan.

A personalized roadmap means exactly that - yours, built around your design, your timing, and your life. Not a generic 10-step process.

Phase 4: Take Brave Action

It’s time to move. And 'brave' here doesn't mean reckless, it means aligned. It means taking real steps toward your new direction even before every variable is resolved, because you've done enough inner work to trust your own signal. That's what makes Phase 4 different from the kind of action-taking that leads to another wrong move: it's not courage for its own sake. It's courage that's been pointed at the right target 🎯

This phase is where the ongoing coaching support becomes most visible - weekly guidance, Tarot pulls to stay connected to your intuition when the noise gets loud, and real accountability to keep you in momentum rather than letting fear turn into inertia. One of the most common things I hear from clients in Phase 4 is that they can't believe how differently they make decisions now. Not because the decisions got easier, but because they know which internal voice to listen to. Phase 4 is where the framework starts to live in your body, not just your notebook.

Brave action isn't about eliminating doubt. It's about moving forward with enough self-knowledge that the doubt doesn't get to drive.

Phase 5: Embody the Shift

This is where most coaching programs stop. Career Metamorphosis doesn't - Phase 5 is the phase that makes everything else permanent.

Getting a new job or changing your career direction is an external event. Embodying the shift is something else - It's how you relate to your work differently. The way you set boundaries without guilt, advocate for yourself without apology, and make decisions without spending three days second-guessing them. It's the difference between someone who landed a better role and someone who became a different person in the process. Phase 5 is where we anchor your new identity: who you are now, what you know about yourself, and how you move through the world as someone whose work actually fits. And because this is the final phase, we also make sure you leave with the tools to keep growing into your purpose long after we wrap - because this work doesn't end when the program does. It's just the beginning of a different relationship with your career.

This isn't just a job change. It's a personal evolution. And you'll feel the difference.

Why the order matters

The Career Metamorphosis Framework works because it moves in the right direction: inside out. Every phase depends on the one before it. Phase 3's roadmap is only worth building if Phase 2's clarity is real. Phase 4's brave action only sticks if Phase 3's plan is grounded. Phase 5's identity shift only happens if all four phases did their job. This is why skipping to tactics - jumping straight to resume rewrites and job boards and interview prep - produces results that don't last. You can optimize your way into a better job, but you can't optimize your way into a better relationship with your work. That requires starting at the beginning.
