The 5-Step Energetic Job Search Method (That Actually Works)

Are you tired of applying to hundreds of jobs and hearing crickets? You might need to revamp your approach.

Traditional job search advice is outdated and often misaligned with how you were designed to best use your energy. Here’s a more intuitive (and effective) way to approach your job search, based on your Human Design type:

  1. Clarify your career vision 🌟 Start by getting clear on the kind of role, environment, and impact you want - not just the title. If you don’t know yet, start with your Human Design or pull a few Tarot cards to explore what kind of work energizes you.

  2. Audit your materials for energetic alignment 📄 Does your resume sound like you? Does your LinkedIn profile reflect who you really are and desire to become, not just who you’ve been? Your materials should tell the story of where you’re going, not just where you’ve been.

  3. Focus your energy on aligned applications 💻 Don’t apply to 50 jobs a day. Apply to a handful you actually want - and take the time to properly fill out the application to your best ability. (Tip: If you're a Generator or MG, trust your gut when it comes to which jobs to apply for. Projector? Wait for the right invitation. Manifestor? Apply when the urge strikes.)

  4. Build meaningful connections 🤝 Instead of cold applying, start conversations. Reach out to people in roles you admire. Ask about their path. Share your journey. You’re more likely to land the right opportunity through connection than through an online portal.

  5. Stay consistent and self-compassionate 💛 Job seeking is emotional. Celebrate small wins, reflect regularly, and don’t shame yourself for needing a break. Your energy is your compass—keep listening.
