How Human Design helped me truly accept myself for the first time
If you’re like me, you’ve probably spent most of your life wishing that you were different.
Maybe you wish you had more willpower.
Maybe you wish you were skinnier.
Maybe you wish you were more creative.
Or intelligent.
Or had more energy to get after it at the gym.
I wished for all of these things (and, if I’m honest, sometimes those wishes still creep up) for most of my 30 years until I discovered Human Design.
Human Design is known as “the science of differentiation”. It combines a variety of spiritual techniques and practices to present a visual image of who you are and how you are unique from the people around you.
I learned I was something called a “Projector”. As I discovered more, I learned that Projectors have less energy than other types due to our lack of a defined sacral center. This explained why I always wanted more energy, and felt I was always teetering between going balls-to-the-wall and experiencing total & complete burnout.
The more I learned about my chart, the more I realized why I am the way that I am.
I overthink because of my defined Gate 4.
I don’t know what my life direction is because my G Center is undefined.
I work best under external pressure because I lack definition in my Root.
As I learned more about why I am the way that I am, I unexpectedly also reached acceptance. Realizing that these “personality flaws” are an intentional part of me and not something I consciously chose or created lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.
Part of the philosophy of Human Design is also that we were created on purpose, for a purpose, with the intention that we can collectively advance society by living our design. So, not only does it create more internal peace and acceptance, but understanding and living your design is actually helpful for those around us as well (A critical point for those of us who are people pleasers - Or who have a line 4 or 5 profile).
The more I live my design, the less I compare myself to others, because I realize we are actually not in competition. I celebrate people who are authentically living in a different way than I am because I know that they are helping me advance, just as I am supporting them.
There actually is enough abundance for all of us. Invite it in effortlessly by following your strategy & authority 🖤
